2Wives Brick Oven Pizza Wins 2015 New London Food Stroll

Most American men, when confronted by the daunting idea of two wives, rejoin that they can barely manage one. But the name 2Wives Brick Oven Pizza came about as a result of teasing, when it appeared, in the process of working on the property, as if New London developer Peter Levine had two wives—his own plus owner Amy Sarcia. The name stuck, and it’s a sure bet that no one ever forgets it.

No one is likely to forget the pizza, either. 2Wives’ dough is made daily. Each thin-crusted pie is hand-tossed and assembled from premium ingredients. There are gourmet pies to choose from, including garden pesto, buffalo chicken, white clam, lasagna, and pear and gorgonzola, or you can make your own. In the 2015 New London Food Stroll, 2Wives’ Thai chicken pizza took first place honors.

It’s not all “pie in the sky”, either. There are starters, salads, pastas, panini and even entrées. Pictured below are that award-winning Thai chicken pizza, a Philly panini, a cod entrée and a dessert cupcake.

I may not be sure how I feel about having two wives, but I’m happy to have 2Wives any day!

THE VERDICT: 2Wives Pizza offers great pizza—and a good deal more.
