Bobby V’s Restaurant & Sports Bar In Windsor Locks Offers Surprisingly Good Food

Bobby V’s Restaurant & Sports Bar occupies a major portion of the building in which the OTB near Bradley International Airport is located. There’s very attractive patio seating, but it’s inside that you really appreciate you’re in a sports bar. There are even lounge spaces and private rooms. My companions and I take up residence in this big booth with its own flat-screen television. We get a glass of wine and a couple of beers in front of us, and we’re good to go. We kick things off with the vegetable barley soup du jour and the turkey chili. We also try the bbq pork poutine, the fried calamari and the clams casino flatbread, each more delicious than the last. We enjoy a Rueben sandwich, short rib sliders and a burger of our own design. But as good as all of those items are, the real standouts are the chicken penne and the day boat scallops. The desserts also love delightful, including a white chocolate Napoleon, coconut crème brûlée, an apple pie eggroll and a raspberry and peach cobbler. Who would have expected to find such great food in a sports bar?
