Good Elephant in Chester Offers Exciting French-Vietnamese Fusion Fare

Linda & Everett Reid, talented owners of Restaurant L & E in Chester, along with chef Joe Roberto, have brought a new great gift to the Connecticut dining scene. Good Elephant, a small café located above their French restaurant and accessed via its own entrance, offers a wonderful fusion of French and Vietnamese flavors in an exotic and evocative setting.

We share photographs from Good Elephant’s opening party on March 27 and from an April 9 dinner taken at the restaurant. You can see there’s porch space that has added seating potential in warm weather. The drinks are great fun. All the food we have tried is very good—the intensely flavored ribs and the lovely lemongrass-and-ginger pot de crème are mind-blowing.

If you have an adventurous palate, Good Elephant may be for you!

THE VERDICT: Good Elephant is an exciting new restaurant option in Chester exploring the high-end possibilities of Vietnamese flavors.
